Some Information on The Deviant Abu Ishaaq al-Huwaini,

1. In relation to Abu Ishaaq al-Huwaine’s statements on Tawheed al-Haakimiyyah:

“…This is tawheed al Ibaadah, there is no ruling except the ruling of Allah, tawheed al-Haakimiyyah… And they (i.e. the polytheists of the past) refused to establish tawheed al-Ibaadah which is submitting that the ruling be for Allah (alone), azza wa jall, so this is the tawheed that which the Prophet, alayhi as-salaatu was-salaam waged war against the Arabs for, Tawheed al-Ibaadah…”

This is from his tape referred to as ‘Madhaakil ash-Shaytaan’ or ‘Madhab ash-Shaytaan’ and it can be heard on the audio clip ‘Tawaam Abi Ishaaq al-Huwaini’.

And He, may Allah guide him, also stated:

“…This is from the clearest proofs that we are not establishing Tawheed of Allah, azza wajal, the Tawheed of al-Haakimyyah that which is from the most specific aspects of Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah…”

This is likewise from his tape referred to as “Madhaakil ash-Shaytaan” and it can also be heard here on second 38 and up.

A Side Note: These particular statements of Abu Ishaaq al-Huwaini has been refuted by Ibn Baaz and Shaykh al-Fawzaan and others in audio form.

2. His statements pertaining to the existence of idol worshiping:

“…Is there anyone that worships the idols? The answer is no. Is there anyone who drinks alcohol? The main body of the Muslims do not drink alcohol and they are aware that it is haraam. Even those who drink it are aware. Also, are there those who bury now their daughters [alive]? The answer is no…”

This is also from his tape referred to as ‘Madhaakil ash-Shaytaan’ and it can likewise be heard here on min 1:17 and up.

3. His statements about the one who persists upon sinning:

“…As for the man who persists upon sinning while he knows that it is a sin, then he is mustahil [i.e. sees it halaal] and this is clear disbelief. [This is] as if he saying, “I am aware ribaa is haraam however I am still going to eat from it and zinaa is haraam but I am still going to do it”. This is clear istihlaal [i.e. seeing to be halaal] in it. Therefore there is no doubt about the disbelief of the likes of this man, and as for if the matter is a sin while he does not persist upon it, then he does not disbelieve by it…”

This from his tape referred to as ‘Righteous Good Deeds’ Side B and it can also be heard here:

A Side Note: This statement of Abu Ishaaq al-Huwaini has been refuted by ash-Shaykh Muhammad Abdul Wahaab al-Banna and ash-Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan which is available in audio form.

Although Abu Ishaaq al-Huwaini in another audio of his found here

made an attempt to deny that he does not declare those who persist upon major sins to be kufaar, yet at the end of the audio he actually admits it and also in another audio of his here

one can find the similar contradiction and Allah’s aid is sought..

4. His statements about those who criticize the modern suicidal war tactics:

“…Some of those who do not understand the reality say this person is committing suicide while the least that should be said about him is he is speaking nonsense…”

This from his tape referred to as ‘The Battle of Uhud’

5. He says that the tafseer of Sayyid Qutb has benefits in it and that he reads from it, as found on audio form here:

6. He praises the likes of Abdul Maqsood, Abul Hasan al-Ma’rabi, Fawzi Saeed, Abdullah as-Samaawi, AbdulHameed Kishk, and other people of deviations in our time.

7. His claim in his tape ‘Nidaa al-Ghurbah’ that there is no Islamic rulership that is being established.

This point can be heard on the audio clip ‘Tawaam Abi Ishaaq al-Huwaini and it also found here:

8. Many of his Friday sermons are about politics and regarding the mistakes of the rulers, which is noticeable in many of his khutbahs and lectures, an illustration to that can be heard here:

9. He has a known connection to the deviant organization, Jamiyyah Ihya at-Turaath, as some of the shuyookh mentioned regarding him.

10. His claim that eliminating the Muslims of Bosnia in the past crisis is good, as found here:

This is just ten critical points from which Abu Ishaaq al-Huwaini was criticized regarding, although there are other points. However inshaa Allah these ten points should be sufficient in clarifying the condition of Abu Ishaaq al-Huwaini.

Al-Imam Muqbil, may Allah have mercy upon him, was asked the following question,

Question:

What is your opinion in regards to one who claims the Salafi Dawah but doesn’t obtain Salafi Books nor Salafi tapes, while also defending the partisan ones?

Answer:

“That which we advise our brothers with is that they become devoted to the beneficial books such as Riyaadus Saliheen, Bulughil Maraam, Fathul Majeed explanation of Kitabut Tawheed, and this is more beneficial for them than the tapes. As for him not obtaining the tapes, then it isn’t a proof that he is not Salafi, but it is befitting that we look at whom he befriends [i.e. shows sympathy for]. Does he befriend the innovators? [For example] Abdurrahman Abdul Khaaliq, Abu Ishaaq Al Huwaaini, then these two are considered from the innovators, Na’am, and similarly also Safar, and likewise Salmaan, they are considered from the innovators…”

Al-Allaamah Ahmad an-Najmee, may Allah have mercy upon him, was asked the following question,

Question:

What is the condition of Muhammad al-Maghraawi, Abu Ishaaq al-Huwaini and Husain Yaqoob?

Answer:

“That which I know from Muhammad Al Maghraawi is that he is a Takfeeri, and Abu Ishaaq Al Huwaini similarly, they are from the friends of Abul Hassan and those who aid him, As for Husain Yaqoob, then I don’t know his condition”

Many of the shuyookh have disparaged Abu Ishaaq al-Huwaini with detail criticisms which has precedence over the general praises for him.

Also Ash-Shaykh Fathul Qadasi, may Allah preserve him, said when asked regarding taking knowledge of science of hadeeth from Abu Ishaaq al-Huwaini,

He, may Allah preserve him, said:

“Al-Huwaini, may Allah guide him, is a deviant in his methodology and there is no need for a sunni today to study under him because what is present with him is present with others and likewise found in the written books by the people of Hadeeth…”

In Conclusion: Abu Ishaaq al- Huwaini is a deviant who should be warned from and knowledge shouldn’t be taken from him, whether it be pertaining to the knowledge of manhaj or the knowledge of science of hadeeth which he is currently opposing with some of his newly invented principles. Also, we should not go against the scholars who have affirmed that there are others from Ahlus Sunnah who excel in the knowledge of science of hadeeth, who can suffice the people from resorting to him [i.e. Abu Ishaaq al-Huwainie] and we ask Allah to guides all to that which is correct and upright.
