Shaykh Muhammad Nasiruddin Al-Albani was asked:

Question:

Oh our Shaikh, who are the Ahbaash (الأحباش )?

Answer:

“They are the followers of Abdullah al-Habashi. This is what I just said. This man is from the Mu’tazilah (those who deny the Attributes of Allah) and from those who declare the Imams of the of Salaf, like Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah and other than him, as disbelievers. These people are dangerous nowadays in Lebanon, unfortunately, because Lebanon nowadays lies in ruins. There is no Islamic callers in it and it is as it was said before:

خلا لك الجو فبيضي واصفري

* You were isloated in the [good] weather

So you laid eggs and whistled”

[Silsilatul-Huda wan-Nur no. 486]

* In regards to those lines, they originated from Kulayb bin Rab’eeah who had a sanctuary which no one would come near. So a lark entered it. Due to the good weather and the isolation, it lead eggs and whistled. So he said the above lines to it.

This proverb is used to mean “an affair in which capable person is able to do/complete”
