Shaykh Zayd Bin Muhammad Al-Madkhalee was asked:

“May Allah be good to you. The questioner says: what should one do who speaks and screams throughout the night while he is sleeping, knowing that he says the adhkaar for sleep [before he sleeps]?”

“The cure is to hold fast to the remembrance of Allah, the recitation of the Quran, and to seek refuge from shaytan along with referring back to Muslim doctors. He should be confident that Allah will protect His servants through what He has made a cause for their protection during their times of sleep and wakefulness. It comes in the Hadith:

تَعَرَّفْ إلَى اللَّهِ فِي الرَّخَاءِ يَعْرِفُك فِي الشِّدَّةِ

Acknowledge Allah in times of ease and He will remember you in times of hardship [Saheeh Jami no. 2961]

So let him increase in supplication and hold fast to the adhkaar. Inshallah that which is affecting him of mixed up false dreams and domination of Shaytan will go away”. End translation. [at-Ta’leeqat al-Jiyaad ‘ala Tadheer al-‘Iti’qad (pg. 173)]
