Shaykh Saalih Al-Fawzaan was asked:
Question:
What are the specific means [that help] a Muslim to hold fast to his religion and continue upon acts of obedience until he dies?
Answer:
“To learn his religion until he knows it and holds fast to it. This is one.
The second affair: that he accompanies the good and righteous people.
The third affair: to increase in supplication. He should supplicate to Allah for firmness upon his religion and fear that Allah will remove his religion from him. So by these affairs and others, a person will be firm upon his religion by the permission of Allah”.
