Ash-Shaykh Bin Baaz, rahimahullah, said:
فالفائدة من الحلقات عظيمة، فطالب العلم يحضر ويستمع، والعامة يحضرون ويستمعون، وطالب العلم يحضر بكتابه الذي فيه الدرس حتى يستفيد وحتى يكتب بعض الفوائد، ولهذا فائدة عظيمة ، فإنه إذا استمع وكتب ما قد يفوته لولا الكتابة يكون هذا عملاً طيباً، وهكذا العامة يحضرون ويستفيدون ، ويسألون عما أشكل عليهم، كل هذا مما يحبه الله
“… Therefore, the benefit from the circles [of knowledge] is something great, so much so that the student of knowledge comes to attend and listen. Also, the common folk come to attend and listen. And the student of knowledge attends with his book that the lesson is regarding in order that he benefits and so that he may record the points of benefits. And for this reason, it is something very beneficial for verily, if he were to give his attention [to the lesson] and jot down what may he not remember later, then this is regarded as something good. Likewise for the laymen, they come, attend, benefit, and they can ask concerning what is confusing for them. All of this is something beloved to Allah… ”
