Shaykh Sulayman Ar Ruhaylee mentions in this audio that there is no disgrace in mentioning the name of a female family member. The evidence he uses for that is when the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم was asked, “Who is the most beloved person to you?”, he said, “Aisha”. Thus he says there is nothing wrong with saying for example, “my mother Hafsah”, “my sister Aisha”, or “my wife so and so”.
