Imam Ibn Baaz said:

اعتياد الكثير من الناس أن يقولوا: صدق الله العظيم عند الانتهاء من قراءة القرآن الكريم وهذا لا أصل له، ولا ينبغي اعتياده بل هو على القاعدة الشرعية من قبيل البدع إذا اعتقد قائله أنه سنة، فينبغي ترك ذلك وأن لا يعتاده لعدم الدليل.

“Many of the people making a habit saying: صدق الله العظيم after finishing reading the noble Quran has no origin for it. It is not befitting to make it a habit but rather based upon the legislative principle it is considered from the innovations if the one saying it believes it is a Sunnah. It is befitting to leave that off and not becomes accustomed to it due to there not being any evidence.” End translation. [Reference]
