Shaykh Bin Baaz, may Allah have mercy upon him, was asked if there is anything specific to welcome the month of Ramadan with,
An excerpt of his answer:
“I am unaware of something specific to welcome the month of Ramadan with, other than a Muslim welcoming it with joy and happiness and with pleasure and by thanking Allah that he made him reach the month of Ramadan”
“And that he granted him success, whereas he made him from the living who are competing with one another in righteous good deeds , for verily reaching the month of Ramadan is a great blessing.”
“Thus the Prophet , alayhi salaatu was-salaam, use to give glad tidings of the coming of Ramadan, clarifying its virtues and what Allah prepared therein for those fasting and standing in night prayers of a great reward.”
“Likewise what is legislated for the Muslim to welcome this noble month with sincere repentance, and with preparation for its fasting and its standings in night prayers by having an upright intention and a truthful determination.”
