Ash-Shaykh Bin Baaz rahimahullah, said:

ولما نشرت الخوارج العيوب في عهد عثمان قام الظلمه والجهلة على عثمان فقتل حتى قتل علي بسبب هذه المنشورات الخبيثة

… And when the khawaarij started to publicly share the flaws and faults in the rulership of Uthman, the wrong-doers and ignorant ones began to revolt against him. As a result, he (i.e Uthman may Allaah be pleased with him) was murdered as a result of it (and even Ali may Allaah be pleased with him was killed) due to the likes of these filthy public announcements.
