Imam Al Uthaymeen, when speaking of the virtue of the prayer and the importance of it, said:

“We do not find an act of worship which was obligated on a daily basis throughout the whole lifetime [upon a person] except prayer. For Az Zakat and Fasting are on a yearly basis and Hajj is [obligatory] once in a lifetime.”
