Imām Ibn Uthaymeen rahimahu’allah said,
“Khushuu’ (tranquility) in prayer does not mean a lot of crying like what is assumed by a lot of the common folks. Rather, crying is from the merits of having tranquility.” End. [Fatāwā Noor ‘alā ad-Darb (3/593)]
