قال الله سبحانه و تعالى

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُوَلِّي بَعْضَ الظَّالِمِينَ بَعْضًا بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
الأنعام: ١٢٩

Allah, The Most High, said:

« And thus We will make some of the wrongdoers against each other for what they use to earn (of evil deeds).
» al-Anam, 1291

A poet once said:

ما من يد إلا يد الله فوقها و ما من ظالم إلا سيبلى بظالم

“There is no hand except Allah’s hand is over it – And there is no oppressor except that he will be trialed by another oppressor”. End quote.

Al- Imaam Ibn Katheer, may Allah have mercy upon him, said regarding the meaning of the above ayah:

“We will make some of them attack and destroy each other and we will punish them through each other, recompensing [them] in their wrongdoing and in their transgression”. End translation. [Tafseer Ibn Katheer, (204/3), print: Daarul Aathaar]
