May Allah be good to you, what is the ruling on students throwing the remaining food and drink in the garbage?
Answer:
As for what is not going to be eaten, like oranges, apples, banana peels, and what resembles that then there is no harm. This is because there is no need for it itself. As for food that can be eaten like remains of bread or sauce and what resembles that, then it is not thrown in the places of filth. If it must be thrown in the garbage, then place it in a special bag so that those who are cleaning know that it is something that deserves respect” .
