Ash-Shaykh Albany rahimahullah, said in an audio of his:

“الكلام على الطعام كالكلام على غير الطعام ؛ حسنه حسن ، وقبيحه قبيح”

“Speech when eating is like speech when not eating, the good of it is considered good and the bad of it is considered bad”
