One of the shuyookh was asked about a person who accepted Islaam and he has tattoos all over his body from jaahiliyah and feels shy to go for Hajj and perform tawaaf like that in front of all those Muslims in Makkah. So he wants to know if he could get someone to do Hajj for him on his behalf.

Mundhir al-Amreeki asked Shaykh Yahya al-Hajooree that question recently. Shaykh Yahya hafidaho-Allah mentioned he should perform Hajj and not be deterred away from it by his shyness. Also, the Shaykh suggested if he could afford to do a tattoo removal, then he should do it.
