During the course of Shaykh Abdullah al-Gudayaan rahimahullah explaining a hadeeth from forty hadeeth of Nawawi, a few people kept moving and talking in the gathering. Therefore, the Shaykh rahimahullah began to rebuke them harshly for it by saying:
“Leave us oh fellow brothers from talking and from [excessive] movements since this is a gathering of knowledge. And if a person sits in a gathering of knowledge, he should possess with him the etiquettes of the gatherings of knowledge or else let him hit the road! [i.e. What is this?!] One person is laughing and one person doing this and the other person doing that… ”
