It has been mentioned “from Jaabir Ibn Samurah Radiallahu Anhu that the prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم used to read in The Maghrib prayer on the night of Jumuah قل يا أيها الكافرون and قل هو الله احد. And in the Isha prayer on the night of Jumuah, Surah Al Jumuah and Surah Al Munaafiqoon”

Ash Shaykh Albani declared it as very weak

Imam Albani also mentions:

“But the narration is weak, not preserved with the attestation of Ibn Hibban himself, thus recommendation (of reading these Surahs during those specific prayers) isn’t affirmed by it (the weak narration) let alone it being Sunnah, Rather, observance and upholding of that is from the innovations, and it is that which many of the Imams of the Masaajid do in Damascus and other than it from the lands of Syria…..”
