‏قال ابن رجب رحمه الله :

Ibn Rajab (Rahimahullah) said:

البدع إنما تنشأ من تقديم الهوى على الشرع،ولهذا يسمى أهلها أهل الأهواء.

“Innovations only arise from preceding desires over the Legislation. So like this, its people are called the people of desires.”
