Having a Bad Day? There is a Dua Against That
The Prophet sallahu alayhi wa salam used to supplicate saying:
ِ
َ
Oh Allah I seek refuge in you from a bad day, from a bad night, from a bad hour, from a bad companion, from a bad neighbor in the hereafter
(Graded Saheeh by al-Albani Silsilatus-Saheeha no. 1443)
Imam al-Munaawi rahimahullah explained it to mean:
“It is seeking refugee with Allah from a day that has in it ugliness, wickedness, evil, affliction, the descending of calamity, and negligence. So this seeking refuge is complete against every evil or wickedness that occurs in the day”
(Fayd ul-Qaadir)
