قال الإمام مقبل الوادعي رحمه الله:
‏
‏من أين جاءتنا الصوفية؟
‏من التقليد.
‏من أين جاءنا التمسح بأتربة الموتى؟
‏من التقليد.
‏من أين جاءنا التبرج والسفور؟
‏من التقليد.
‏من أين جاءنا أكثر بلاءٍ يصد عن الكتاب والسنة؟
‏من التقليد.
‏أكثـر البلاء مصدره التقليد.
‏
‏إجابة السائل 330.

Imam Muqbil may Allah have mercy on him said:

“From where did Sufism come to us from?

… From blind following

From where did touching the ground/earth/soil of the dead come from [to seek blessings and nearness to them]?

…From Blind following

From where did tabaruj [women displaying their charms and beautifying themselves in front of non-mahaarim men like that of the times of ignorance] come from and sufoor ][that which a woman displays of her body which is unlawful for her to display]?

…From blind following

From where did this great calamity of hindering [one] from the Qur’an and sunnah come from?

…From blind following

The source of the majority of calamities is BLIND FOLLOWING.
