From our Salaf is a man named Zakariyyah bin Yahya bin Iyaas (may Allah have mercy upon him). He was nicknamed the Tailor of the Sunnah (خياط السنة).

Shaikh Muqbil bin Haadi al-Wadi’ee (may Allah have mercy upon him) said: “He used to sew the shrouds of Ahlus-Sunnah” [at-Taaj al-Mukallal (pg. 130)]

He died in the year 289 H.
