Shaykh Al Uthaymeen said in his poetry on Usul al Fiqh and its explanation, page 24,

“For that reason it is obligatory upon us while we are students of knowledge that we have a target which we strive to reach. It should not be mere passing time. Rather, we seek knowledge to reach a purpose and it is that I learn, then I act upon it, then I teach it, and then I call to it and this is my purpose” End translation.
