Recently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) posted the following recommendation, “Regarding the Use of Cloth Face Coverings” [Reference]. This medical recommendation is coming in a society which scoffs at the idea of wearing the Niqab (essentially a cloth face covering). Gone now are the supposed security concerns, the need for identification and social cohesion which Westerners have argued that the Niqab prevents. This irony has prompted one Canadian writer to say that after COVID-19, Westerners might “permanently don masks while ironically pitying a Muslim woman’s niqab”. End. [Reference].

This just shows us how confused and uncertain Western ideals are. It is just as Allah says,

“Nay, but they have no firm belief” [52:36]
