Shayh al-Albani was asked the following question:
Question:
Alright, our Shaikh we have a factory that produces what is called (مارتديلّا ) sliced deli meat. This is what our companions found, that it is slaughtered according to the Islamic way. So what is the ruling on eating this? Some people praise these factories and others dispraise them?
Answer:
This returns to conviction of a person. If a person is convinced that the origin of these meats is slaughtered according to the legislated way, then he can eat it, (and) enjoy it without fear of any harm (as Allah has made it lawful). Otherwise, as the Prophet sallahu alalyhi wa salam:
دع ما يريبك إلى ما لا يريبك
Give up what is doubtful to you for that which is not doubtful….”
