The Prophet sallahu alayhi wa salam said:

أَحبُّ الأعمالِ إلى اللهِ عزَّ وجلَّ سرورٌ تُدخِلُه على مسلمٍ ، أو تَكشفُ عنه كُربةً ، أو تطرد عنه جوعًا ، أو تقضي عنه دَيْنًا

The most beloved actions to Allah, the Exalted are bringing happiness to a Muslim or to relieve a difficulty from him or drive hunger away from him or pay a debt for him

Imam al-Munaawi rahimahullah said:

إدخالك على أخيك المؤمن أي أخيك في الإيمان وإن لم يكن من النسب،
سبباً لإنشراح صدره من جهة الدين والدنيا

“Bring: that is, enter it upon your believing brother (.i.e your brother in faith) even if he is not from your lineage. Happiness, that is: a cause for the expansion of his chest in respect to the religion or the worldly life”
