Shaikh al-Albani rahimahullah said,

“It is authentic upon Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, that he used to make Takbir from after Fajr prayer on the day of Arafah until Asr of the last day of the days of Tashreeq. He made takbir after ‘Asr”. It was reported by Ibn Abi Shaybah (2/1/2) with two routes, one of them is Jayyid”. End translation. [Irwaa al-Ghalil (3/125)]
