`Abdullah bin `Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Everyone of you is a shepherd and everyone is responsible for his flock”
[Bukhari and Muslim]
Hafdith Ibn Hajr (may Allah have mercy upon him) said:
“Other Scholars [aside from at-Tiybi] said that the individual who does not have a wife nor servant nor child enters into the generality of this Hadith. It is correct that he [is considered] a shepherd over his limbs, such that he performs the obligations and stays away from the prohibitions, in speech, action, and beliefs. His limbs, strength, and faculties/senses are his flock”
