I advise myself and all of you, with the fear of Allah سبحانه و تعالى in private and public.
It is the advice of Allah to his slaves:
We have recommended to the people of the Scripture before you, and to you (O Muslims) that you (all) fear Allâh, and keep your duty to Him
[4:131]
I advise myself and you, with eagerness upon knowledge. We are eager upon knowledge, we are in a time where the tribulations have increased, ……..*, they avoid the learning of the book of Allah and the Sunnah of the prophet. The people are in urgent need of one who can teach them their religion, and to make them understand the religion of Allah سبحانه و تعالى
I advise myself and you with acceptance upon knowledge that we strive in seeking beneficial knowledge to benefit ourselves and to benefit all of the Muslims in the two saheehs from Mu’awiyah ibn Abi Sufyaan رضي الله عنه he said the prophet said:
Whoever Allah desires good for, he gives him comprehension in the religion
And the prophet said:
Whoever treads a path searching in it knowledge, Allah will make easy for him the path to Jannah.
And the prophet said:
Indeed the angels lower their wings for the student of knowledge in approval of what he does
So eagerness, eagerness upon knowledge, in it the individual is provided with the fear of Allah. And with beneficial knowledge, the individual is granted success from humility, submission, and supplication to Allah*,
Verily! those who were given knowledge before it (the Jews and the Christians like ‘Abdullâh bin Salâm and Salmân Al-Farisî), when it is recited to them, fall down on their faces in humble prostration.
And they say: “Glory is to our Lord! Truly, the Promise of our Lord must be fulfilled.
And they fall down on their faces weeping and it increases their humility.
[17:107-109]
And Allah subhaanahu wa ta’ala said:
It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allâh.
[35:28]
And Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala said
Allâh will exalt in degree those of you who believe, and those who have been granted knowledge.
[58:11]
And Allah Jala Wa Ala said:
Say: “Are those who know equal to those who know not?”
[39:9]
With knowledge, the individual is provided a criterion to distinguish between the truth and falsehood.
Allah says:
O you who believe! If you obey and fear Allâh, He will grant you Furqân [(a criterion to judge between right and wrong), or (Makhraj, i.e. a way for you to get out from every difficulty)], and will expiate for you your sins, and forgive you; and Allâh is the Owner of the Great Bounty.
[8:28]
It is incumbent upon a Muslim that he is eager that his knowledge is beneficial for him, the type of beneficial knowledge which its companion transmits into actions.
But if they had done what they were told, it would have been better for them, and would have strengthened their (Faith); And indeed we should then have bestowed upon them a great reward from Ourselves
And indeed we should have guided them to a Straight Way
[4:66-68]
The beneficial knowledge is which its companion transmits into striving in obedience. The beneficial knowledge is that which its companion inherits jealousy for the religion of Allah سبحانه و تعالى and enjoining the good and forbidding the evil, and eagerness upon good in the worldly life and the hereafter. This is what is incumbent upon the one who comprehends the religion and he studies and he is eager upon teaching the Muslims
Anyone who calls to guidance then for him is the same reward as that received by those who follow it, without decreasing from their reward in any way
By Allah, if Allah guides one person through you, it will be better for you than possessing a lot of red camels
So be eager upon knowledge, be eager upon teaching the people. Every person teaches to the extent he is capable, to the extent of what Allah has given him from good.
I advise my brothers who are capable of travelling for seeking knowledge in this blessed place, Darul Hadeeth in Dammaj. And he who is not capable of travelling to this daar, then I advise that he acquires for himself some books, and that he listens to the lessons of the scholars and students of knowledge spread on the Salafi websites. With this is what I advise my brothers, May Allah preserve you and protect you and grant you success to that which Allah loves and is pleased with. And similarly, I advise myself and all of you with eagerness upon coming together upon the book of Allah and the sunnah of the prophet. All of us make mistakes. The Muslim makes mistakes and there is no human being except that he will fall in to a slip or a mistake. It is obligatory to advise with gathering the word upon the truth, from whom it is known stubbornness in regards to the truth, it is known from him desires. Then this one, [he] is distanced from and he is warned from, and he will not harm except himself. But we should be advisors and eager upon coming together upon the book of Allah and the sunnah of the prophet upon the way of the Salaf Us Salih
I advise myself and my brothers with not sitting with the innovators, as well as not attending their lessons and assisting in their call. Our brothers upon the sunnah and the jammah should distinguish themselves from the innovators, and call to Allah on their own and they are not pleased with the Mukhalifat of the innovator,
They wish that you should compromise (in religion out of courtesy) with them, so they (too) would compromise with you.
[68:9]
Between us and you is the book of Allah. Between us and the innovator is the book of Allah. Between us and everyone who opposes is the book of Allah and the Sunnah of the prophet that we gather upon the rope of Allah.
And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allâh (i.e. this Qur’ân), and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allâh’s Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islâmic Faith)
[3:109]
Allah commanded us that we gather upon his rope and that we hold onto his rope. The rope of Allah is His book and the sunnah of His prophet sallallahu alaihi wassallam. The rope of Allah is the religion of truth which our prophet came with.
So eagerness upon that which benefits you, I advise myself and all of you that we be reliant upon Allah, seeking refuge with Allah from our actions and our statements in regards to our learning and our da’awah and our worship. We are in dire need of Him.
That we are always reliant upon Allah seeking refuge with Him. The prophet said, as found in Saheeh Muslim from the hadeeth of Abu huraira رضي الله عنه that the prophet said:
“Seek carefully what benefits you and seek help only from Allah and never lose hope”
Allah سبحانه و تعالى said in his generous book
You (Alone) we worship, and you (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything)
[1:5]
And Allah سبحانه و تعالى He says:
If Allâh helps you, none can overcome you; and if He forsakes you, who is there after Him that can help you?
[3:160]
So if Allah does not aid you, then there is no aid for you. And if Allah does not grant you success, then there is no success for you. Likewise if Allah does not direct you, then there is no direction for you, and if Allah doesn’t guide you, there then is no guidance for you. So it is incumbent upon the Muslim that you are reliant upon your Lord, seeking refuge with Him. Beware of being misled with your knowledge or misled with your da’awah or misled with that which Allah has given you from understanding and intelligence or that you are amazed with yourself. You are in need of humbling yourself to Allah سبحانه و تعالى
One doesn’t humble himself for Allah, except that Allah raises him
Amazement inflicts its companion with arrogance, and scorning of others
“Sufficient for a man from evil is that he despises his Muslim brother”
“Every Muslim for another Muslim is inviolable: his blood, his property, and his honor.”
I shall turn away from My Ayât (verses of the Qur’ân) those who behave arrogantly on the earth, without a right, and (even) if they see all the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they will not believe in them. And if they see the way of righteousness (monotheism, piety, and good deeds), they will not adopt it as the Way, but if they see the way of error (polytheism, crimes and evil deeds), they will adopt that way, that is because they have rejected Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and were heedless (to learn a lesson) from them
[8:146]\
My brothers for the sake of Allah, it is upon us that we are eager upon that which benefits us, it is the advice of the prophet as found in saheeh Muslim
“Seek carefully what benefits you and seek help only from Allah and neither lose heart”
I ask Allah to grant us and you success to that which he loves and pleases him, and I ask allah to accept from us and you our actions.
Indeed he is سميع قريب مجيب
And all praise is to Allah the lord of all that exists
