*قال الإمام سفيان ابن عيينة -رحمه الله:
ليس العاقل الذي يعرف الخير والشر، إنما العاقل الذي إذا رأى الخير اتبعه، وإذا رأى الشر اجتنبه.
📓 أخرجه أبو نعيم في “الحلية” (8/339)

Imaam Sufyaan Ibn ‘Uyaynah, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said,

“The intelligent person isn’t (simply) the one who recognizes good and evil. Verily the intelligent one is only he who, when he sees good he follows it, and when he sees evil he refrains from it.” End translation [Abu Nu’aim in “al-Hilyah” (8/339)]
