Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin Al-Abbaad was asked:

Question:

Are stimulant pills considered from intoxicants? They are used for difficult actions like memorization, reviewing, and driving cars?

Answer:

“These are harmful. The doctors say they are harmful. A person should avoid causing harm upon himself because the soul needs sleep and rest. For a person to continuously be in a specific condition in terms of being stimulated, removing him from his natural state and preventing what he needs will lead to reverse effects. It is not necessary for a person to do that. Even though they are not intoxicants, they lead to harm. Yes”.
