Shaykh Yahya al Hajooree, may Allaah preserve him, was asked the following question.
Question: What is the ruling on eating during the lesson?
Answer: This is wrong; the time for eating is to eat, and the time for the Dars is for the lesson (only).”
A Side Note: Also The Shaykh was asked about a student who chews gum during the lesson, so the Shaykh said: ‘It is not from the etiquettes of a student of knowledge to chew gum during the lesson.’
