Shaykh Bin Baaz was asked on the ruling of requesting financial assistance from the disbelievers.

Answer:

That depends; if there is no fear of harm upon the Deen of the person when requested and accepted from them (the Kuffaar) then there is nothing wrong in it. If there is a risk (of danger on the person’s Deen) in that then it is not permissible for him to request or accept i, due to it being (a must) to act upon what the proofs of the Shari’ah (of the religion) indicate: (a person) should be cautious regarding what Allah has forbidden, and should distance himself from that which is displeasing to Allah, It has been authenticated that the Prophet , may the peace and blessings of Allah
be upon him, accepted some of the gifts of (some of) the polytheists, while he did not accept it from others, and the reason for that is what we (previously) mentioned, as it been mentioned by the Scholars.

Allaah is the source of prosperity, and salaat wa salaam of Allaah be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his companions.
