Shaykh Zayd Bin Muhammad Al-Madkhalee was asked:

Question:

May Allah be good to you, the questioner from France says: Is it possible to see the effects of the punishment of the grave on the deceased if he (the deceased) is removed from his grave for [some] reason?

Answer:

“The pleasure of the grave and its punishment are from the unseen matters. None can see them except for Allah, the Exalted. As for mankind, then they cannot see the pleasures of the grave nor its punishment. The sign to prove this is that if you find a corpse on the earth and the people gather around it, the will not be able to rule if it is receiving pleasure or punishment. So it is from the affairs of the unseen which it is obligatory to have Imaan in without doubt, nor hesitation/wavering, nor searching for its howness. Whoever does not believe in that, then he has stepped away the path of the Muslims in having faith in the unseen which Allah praised its people for in His statement:

الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْب وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ

Who believe in the Ghaib and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and spend out of what we have provided for them
