Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin Al-Abbaad was asked the following question:

Question:

In our land, if the people gather for the Eid prayer and the Imam makes Takbir in the following form:

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilahi illa Allah, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, walilahi al-Hamd. Allahu Akbar Kabeerah, wa Alhamdulliah Katheera, wa Subhanallahi Bukhratan wa Aseelah. Then the people repeat this after him. So what is the ruling on this action and is this remembrance established?

Answer:

“It is has come from some of the Companions the wording: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilahi illa Allah, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, walilahi al-Hamd. It also Allahu Akbar Kabeerah has come. As for the wording: La ilaha illalah wahda, sadaqah wa’dah, wa Hazamal-Ahzaab al-Wahdah. I don’t know about it being reported.
