From the names of Allah Aza Wa Jal is

The scholars mention it means that Allah forgives his slaves much.

From the mercy of Allah upon his slaves is that he gives the slaves success to repent to him and then accepts it (i.e. the repentance) from them.

Allah will love you for constantly repenting to him, if whenever the slave sins, he repents to Allah.

Allah says:

Truly, Allah loves those who turn unto Him in repentance and loves those who purify themselves (by taking a bath and cleaning and washing thoroughly their private parts, bodies, for their prayers, etc.).

[2:222]

Thus we should never despair of the mercy of Allah.

Allah says:

53. Say: “O ‘Ibadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful

[39:53]

May Allah forgive us for our sins
